I PRE-EXAMINATION CONDUCT

DATE FOR EXAMINATION

Examinations shall be held at the end of each Semester/Session

REGISTRATION

Only candidates who are duly registered for courses in a given semester and have met their financial obligations shall be eligible to sit for exams in those courses.

ELIGIBILITY FOR EXAMINATION

Students are expected to attend all classes for courses which they have registered. Attendance at classes, laboratories, and other practical works is compulsory and must be at least 75% by the student, failing which he/she is disallowed from writing any examination.

EXAM/CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT

Continuous assessment grades (C.A) to be submitted to H.O.D two (2) weeks before semester examinations.
rn Examination 70%, CA 30%; except for Practical/Field based courses where examination score is 40% and Practical/Field based course is 60%

Entering the examination hall/venue after the first thirty (30) minutes

Student(s) may be allowed into examination hall at the discretion of the chief invigilator without additional time. The Chief Invigilator must explain in writing the circumstance leading to the lateness to the Dean of the College within twenty four (24) hours.

Failure to write Matriculation Numbers on answer booklet or to sign Attendance Sheet

Warning letter and student to score zero (0)

Leaving examination hall without permission

Student(s) to carry over the course

Failure to appear before misconduct panel

Indefinite suspension pending appearance before the Panel

Any student with three (3) letters of warning

Any form of unauthorized communication between and among student(s) during examination

To lose ten (10) minutes of examination time (first instance); if persists, relocate the student; further persistence (filling of misconduct form); the result of the course is cancelled

Unruly behaviour in the examination hall such as disrespect to invigilators, noise etc.

Verbal warning by Invigilator, if unruly behaviour persist, to leave the hall and carry over the course

Refusal to obey Invigilator’s instruction such as (i) writing after the examination has been stopped and (ii) Non-compliance with the Invigilator’s sitting arrangement
